This past weekend, I made my first fabric purchase. I purchased some neutral terry cloth material to make some burp cloths and snuggle flannel to make 2 girl crib sheets. I was looking for a jersey knit for the crib sheets, but I couldn't seem to find any. I'll look harder the next time I go to the store. I've started to cut the future burp cloths down to size. By this weekend, I should be able to post a few more for sale.
The crib sheets will take some additional measurements and cutting. I had to buy the fabric wider than I needed, so I will be taking some extra time this weekend to measure twice and to cut once. Then it's on to a marathon of sewing!
