Success...I think!

Well I went home and forced myself to be creative last night.  Sounds like an oxymoron but I think it worked!  I managed to motivate myself to work on one of my custom orders this morning before I had to head into the office.  Unfortunately, tonight will be spent preparing for a family visit so I do not anticipate any huge step in productivity.
Farm Animal Fabric

You know, LeAnn, I would think that Monday's would be the worst for me as well, but nope, Wednesday is my bad day.  Perhaps we can motivate each other since our rut days seem to be on different days typically.

A big goal I have for myself over the next week is I want to finish ALL of my outstanding custom projects so I can again get back to focusing on building my inventory.  I have about 3 projects I either need to start or finish that are focused on building my inventory.  Most notably, is my farm animal receiving blanket and burp cloth gift set.  I am partially done with it, and thought I had my price point all picked out.  Then I did more research and now I am second guessing myself.  I'm not sure why, but this gift set is challenging me on my pricing philosophy.  I guess I just have to do some more research.  Off to play with numbers!

  1. Doesn't sound like you to be "forcing yourself" to do something - are you getting near burning yourself out? Whenever I read your posts, you seem to be hugely busy - how do you do it?

Just don't - burn yourself out, I mean.

  2. Love the farm animal fabric!
It's a little scary to be so busy now---and it's not even the holiday season yet. Yikes! This is my first holiday season on Etsy, so I'm not sure what to expect.

  3. Isobel, I appreciate the concern. I seem to have had a trifecta in terms of getting busy of late. I've had my day job pick up, some personal things REALLY pick up, AND Stitch Silly start to get more notice. I am not getting burned out it's just a matter of finding enough hours in the day to do everything I want to do while still getting done everything I have to do. Fear not, not burn out in process, just working through a busy time! :-)

PasqueFlower, thanks! I love the fabric too. I think I have finally figured out a pricing scheme for it, at least one I can live with. This is my first holiday season as well. Hopefully it's a good one for both of us!
